The Future of Food
This food photography series was a creative collaboration with Mooji Meats, a startup pioneering 3D-printed and plant-based steaks, and Michael Weirich, a close friend who is a chemical engineering student and a talented chef. I photographed a five-course steak dinner that Michael prepared using Mooji's steak, capturing both the artistry of the food and the innovation behind it. Featured dishes include:
- Tenderloin tacos with fresh pico de gallo and queso fresco
- Seared filet with wild mushroom risotto, za'atar-roasted carrots, and a red wine cherry reduction
- "Oscar-style" filet topped with seared prawns, lump crab béarnaise, and sautéed asparagus
I'm excited about the future of food, where sustainability and flavor don't have to be a tradeoff.
