Dissociative Associations

Have you ever looked in the mirror and suddenly felt disconnected from yourself? Like you're seeing a stranger and wondering, "How can this unfamiliar person be me?" That weird, out-of-body moment was the inspiration behind my self-portrait series, Dissociative Associations.

Each image plays with the gap between the reflection and the subject, revealing the tension between how I see myself and how others might. The contrast also hints at different layers of my identity and personality. I created this series to capture those quiet, disorienting moments when I'm alone and forced to confront the question: Who am I, really?
